Scripts for deploying

Use these scripts to deploy WSRR to a cluster after successful augmentation of a deployment manager profile.

Before you begin, you must have augmented an existing deployment manager profile to include WSRR. You must also have augmented existing custom profiles for your managed nodes. You must stop the target federated server or cluster before running the scripts.

You must create the WSRR database, see Creating the DB2 for z/OS database. You can create the database before or after you create or augment the profile, and deploy WSRR, but note that the deployed WSRR application will not start until the database is created and configured.

There are two separate scripts:
  • <WSRR_INSTALL>\WSRR\install\jython\deploywsrrapp.py
  • <WSRR_INSTALL>\WSRR\install\jython\deploywsrrbus.py

The deploywsrrapp.py script deploys the WSRR application, the deploywsrrbus.py script deploys the service integration bus components. If you are deploying to a WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus or IBM Business Process Management golden topology (where there are separate applications, messaging, and event clusters), you can run the scripts to deploy the application and the service integration bus to different clusters. You run deploywsrrapp.py to deploy the WSRR application to the applications cluster. You run deploywsrrbus.py to deploy the service integration bus components to the messaging cluster. Both clusters must be in the same cell. Note that you must run both deployment scripts, whether separately or together, to achieve a functional WSRR system.

Deploy the bus first; and if you are deploying the WSRR application and the service integration bus to separate clusters, you can then configure the application cluster.

The scripts are described in the following topics:
