Roles and permissions

WebSphere Automation adds new roles and permissions that can be granted to users within IBM Automation. An administrator manages these privileges in the Access control section.

Seven permissions are defined within WebSphere Automation:

Users with this permission can add or remove servers from the list of servers that are tracked for security vulnerabilities or server health issues.
View notification configuration
Users with this permission can view the Notification configuration page, including all email addresses and SMTP server configuration values.
Manage notification configuration
Users with this permission can modify the list of email addresses and SMTP server configuration on the Notification configuration page.
View security
Users with this permission can view security data and download server security reports.
Manage security
Users with this permission can edit information in the Security section.
View investigations
Users with this permission can view server health investigations and download all server health investigation artifacts.
Manage investigations
Users with this permission can modify server health investigations.

The WebSphere Automation Administrator role has all of these permissions. The WebSphere Automation Viewer role can view all security and server health data for managed servers. The WebSphere Automation Security role can view and manage security vulnerabilities for managed servers. The WebSphere Automation Health role can view and manage server health information for managed servers.
