Example notification contents

WebSphere Automation sends email notifications to a defined list of recipients when certain events occur. An example of each type of email is presented.

Example notification when a new server is added that has security vulnerabilities

An example of an email that is sent when a vulnerability is detected in a server that was recently added to the inventory is shown in the following image:

Included in this email notification are:
  • A statement that a new server was added.
  • The highest CVSS score for the unresolved vulnerabilities on the server.
  • A link to your installation of WebSphere Automation, which includes the WebSphere Automation hostname and a UUID. The email notification does not include the server's identifying information (such as server name or host), nor any CVEs that are indicated.

Example notification when a new security vulnerability is detected

An example of an email that is sent when a new vulnerability is detected in a registered server is shown in the following image:

Included in this email notification are:
  • A statement that a new vulnerability was detected.
  • The CVSS score of the vulnerability.
  • A link to your installation of WebSphere Automation, which includes the WebSphere Automation hostname and a UUID. The email notification does not include the CVE number nor any information about the scope of impact, such as the number of servers affected and server names.

Example notification when a new memory leak analysis is completed

An example of an email that is sent when a memory leak analysis completes is shown in the following image:

Included in this email notification are:
  • A statement that WebSphere Automation detected a potential memory leak and completed a memory leak analysis.
  • A link to your installation of WebSphere Automation, which includes the WebSphere Automation hostname and a UUID. The email notification does not include any identifying information about the indicated server, such as server name or host.

Example notification when a fix is installed

An example of an email that is sent when an interim fix or a fix pack is installed by WebSphere Automation.
Example email that is sent when a fix is installed by WebSphere Automation.
Included in this email notification are:
  • A statement that WebSphere Automation installed a fix successfully.
  • The type of fix that was installed, either an interim fix or a fix pack.
  • A link to your installation of WebSphere Automation, which includes the WebSphere Automation hostname and a UUID. The email notification does not include any identifying information (such as server name or host), any CVE information, nor any identifying information about the fix that was installed.

Example notification when a fix is installed with failures

An example of an email that is sent when an interim fix or a fix pack is installed by WebSphere Automation, but with failures.
Example email that is sent when a fix is installed by WebSphere Automation with failures.
Included in this email notification are:
  • A statement that WebSphere Automation installed a fix with failures.
  • The type of fix that was installed, either an interim fix or a fix pack.
  • A link to your installation of WebSphere Automation, which includes the WebSphere Automation hostname and a UUID. The email notification does not include any identifying information (such as server name or host), any CVE information, nor any identifying information about the fix that was installed.
