Installing fixes
You can automatically deploy fixes to servers in your managed server inventory through the WebSphere Automation UI. You must have a user profile with at least the Modify WebSphere inventory permission, and the servers that you want to fix must be registered and configured for fix installation with WebSphere Automation.
Fix manager storage
The WebSphere Automation fix manager temporarily stores fixes that it retrieves from IBM Fix Central so that the fix can be applied to multiple servers. Before a fix is fetched, the available storage space is checked against the size of the fix. If necessary, previously fetched fixes are deleted, based on the frequency of use. Fixes that were fetched in the last 24 hours are not deleted. Since this storage serves as a cache, system performance improves with the amount of storage space available.
For more information about configuring storage, see WebSphereSecure custom resource.
