Encode stage: fast path (DataStage®)

This section specifies the minimum steps to take to get an Encode stage functioning.

IBM DataStage has many defaults, which means that it can be very easy to include Encode stages in a job.

To use an Encode stage:

• Double-click the stage and go to the Properties section on the Stage tab. Specify the UNIX command that will be used to encode the data, together with any required arguments. The command should expect its input from STDIN and send its output to STDOUT.
