Informatica PowerCenter connection

To access your data in Informatica PowerCenter, create a connection asset for it.

Informatica PowerCenter is an ETL tool for data integration, transformation and loading across diverse systems.

Supported versions

The version of Informatica PowerCenter used must match the tools you want to install. If you want to make connections to repositories that run on different versions of Informatica PowerCenter, you’ll need to install multiple versions of the tools.

Create a connection to Informatica PowerCenter

To create the connection asset, you need these connection details:

  • Informatica server host: Enter the host of the Informatica PowerCenter server.
  • Informatica server port: Enter the port number of the Informatica PowerCenter server.
  • Informatica domain name: Enter the domain name for the Informatica PowerCenter server.
  • Informatica security domain: Enter the security domain of the Informatica PowerCenter server.
  • Default server name: Enter the name of the default server on which the PowerCenter Integration service runs if it is not specified in the workflow, or leave this entry blank if it is always specified.
  • Integration service node name: Enter the name of the node on which the PowerCenter Integration service runs, or leave this entry blank if it never influences parametric files.
  • Repository name: Enter the repository name of the Informatica PowerCenter server.
  • Profile: This property is optional and is used for agent extraction. Paths for the tools Informatica uses cannot be set up in the connection properties. Instead the profile is defined and the paths are then selected from the configuration file in the agent folder on the local machine.
