Exploring master data in IBM Master Data Management
Business users and data stewards can use the IBM Master Data Management service's master data workspace capabilities to view and work with master data entities and records in the system.
To access the master data workspace, click Search master data from quick links panel on the home page, or choose Search 
from the Master data navigation menu.
The master data workspace capabilities for data stewards and business users include:
- Defining the way records and attributes are displayed
- Exploring master data entities and records
- Adding and editing records and entities
- Maintaining record and entity linkage
- Exploring relationship data
- Working with hierarchies
- Working with groups
- Exploring historical master data
- Remediating potential matches to improve data quality
- Remediating potential overlay issues
- Exporting master data
When you are working with governed data in the master data workspace, a shield icon 
next
