Creating Goals
Create a goal based on the visitor activity that you want to track.
Creating a goal
- Log in to Acoustic Personalization and go to Goals.
- On the Goal Library page, click Create goal.
- On the Create goal page, provide a name for the goal. If required, you can also provide a
description for the goal. Note: The goal name must be less than 100 characters, and it must be unique within the Organization.
- Select the goal type as Conversion or Clicks
- Conversion goal
- Create a Conversion goal when you want to base your goal on the number of visitors
who were successfully converted. All the visitor interactions are taken into account and the
visitors that were converted during previous channel visits are also measured as a part of this
goal. Conversion goals can be used across the zones of the channel.
- Choose how you want to determine the success of your conversion.
- Total: Total number of conversions across the sessions in which there was a conversion where the A/B Test was successfully applied. Note that, in this case, the conversion rate could be above 100%.
- Unique per visitor: Number of unique visitors that were converted in the session where the A/B Test was successfully applied. If the same visitor is converted in multiple sessions when the they see the personalized content (either of the variant or control group), it is still counted as one conversion for that visitor against that variant.
- Unique per session: Number of unique sessions in which there was a conversion where the A/B Test was successfully applied.
- Next, choose the visitor actions on the channel that you want to track, and also select whether the count should be increasing or decreasing.
- Optionally, you can select an attribute to support your goal.
- Click Save. The new goal is displayed on the Goal Library page.
- Choose how you want to determine the success of your conversion.
- Click goal
- Select this option when you want to base your goal on the total number of visitors who click on the specified zone of your website. Click goal measures the click events on the combination of a channel and a zone. Hence, the Click goals will be available only if you had created a click goal for that particular combination of channel and the zone, and are not available across the zones.
