Using Zones dashboard

Visit the Zones dashboard for a summary view of your zones and personalizations. Use the Zones dashboard to view your personalization, and to perform tasks such as viewing zone details and unpublishing all rules.

To access the Zones dashboard, complete the following these steps:

  1. Log in to Acoustic Personalization.
  2. In the menu, go to Acoustic Personalization and click Zones.

Accessing Zones for the first time

  • In the menu, go to Acoustic Personalization and click Zones.

    If there are no channels that are registered with Acoustic Personalization, the Zones page redirects you to the Channel registration (Register a channel) page. For more information, see Registering a channel

Overview

Zones dashboard displays a summary view of the zones and personalization information for the channels that belong to your organization. If there are no channels available for personalization, the Zones dashboard is empty and directs you Register a channel page.

At a time, 10 zones are displayed on the Zones dashboard page. When you visit the page for the first time, all the zones are displayed.

You can search for the Zone name by using the Search box. Enter a zone name in the Search box, then hit Enter or click the magnifying glass icon next to the search box. Results that match your search are displayed. To return to the previous view, click Clear.

To go to a specific page, enter the page number in the input field and click Go to page.

After personalization is created, you can do the following actions on the zones:

  • View details
  • Unpublish all rules

Each zone card displays details such as the channel URL, zone name, total number of rules, number of times the personalization been applied, and the last published date.

The "Number of times applied" metric

The Number of times applied metric shows the number of times any of the published rules for the zone matched the visitor behavior and personalized content was displayed on the zone. It is calculated from the time the first rule was published for that zone.

The personalized content is shown to a visitor if the visitor matches one or more rules specified for the channel. Acoustic Personalization tracks the number of times a personalization is shown to visitors. This metric applies both to published rules (which are listed in “Published rules” tab) as well as currently inactive rules (which are listed in the “Rule editor” tab).

Unpublishing all rules

  • To unpublish all rules by using Actions menu, complete the following steps:
    1. Go to the zone for which you want to unpublish the rules.
    2. Click Actions > Unpublish all rules
    3. Click Unpublish.
    4. All rules are now inactive for the zone.

If you do not want to unpublish all rules on that zone, click Cancel.
