Creating channel

To use Acoustic Personalization, you must create and register the channel that you want to personalize.

Create a channel

When you access Acoustic Personalization for the first time, the Zones page directs you to Register a channel page. Alternatively, you can also access it from Acoustic Personalization > Settings > Channel > Register channel.

  1. Click Register a channel.
  2. In the New Channel screen, provide the required details. Type a name for the channel that you want to register. For example, name of the website that you want to personalize.
    Select the appropriate channel type.
    Note:
    • If your channel is React SPA, select the Multiple Page Application (MPA) option from Channel type list.
    • If your website is Simple HTML website, select Multiple Page Application (MPA) option.
  3. Enter the channel URL. For example, URL of the website that you want to personalize.
  4. Click Create.
The new channel is created and details that you provided are displayed in the Channel properties section. The section also displays a channel tenant ID, which is used internally by Acoustic Personalization to identify each channel tenant.

Delete a channel

In Acoustic Personalization, you can delete the channel that is not required to be personalized.

To delete the channel, complete the steps:

  1. Log in to Acoustic Personalization.
  2. From the menu, click Acoustic Personalization and then click Settings.
  3. In the Settings menu, click Channel. The channels that are registered for personalization within your organization are displayed on the page.
  4. Click delete icon next to the channel that you want to delete. Confirmation pop-up window opens.
  5. To delete, click Yes.The channel is deleted.
Note: The channel that contains published rules cannot be deleted.
