Secure authentication and encryption
Security is enhanced for connections between protected and non-protected domains by applying the authentication and encryption mechanism based on the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. SSL uses digital certificates to authenticate the identity of a workstation.
The IBM Workload Scheduler administrator
must plan how authentication will be used within the network:
- Use one certificate for the entire IBM Workload Scheduler network.
- Use a separate certificate for each domain.
- Use a separate certificate for each workstation.
SSL support is automatically installed with IBM Workload Scheduler.
