Getting started

You begin by importing data that describes your customers and their interactions with your brand. IBM®Watson™ Marketing Insights analyzes the imported data to generate insights that reveal patterns and predictions about your customers. Use the insights to take timely and targeted action.

Getting started with Watson Marketing Insights proceeds as follows.

  • Welcome. You receive an email shortly after you purchase a license to Watson Marketing Insights. The letter gives you important access information and outlines the startup process. You access Watson Marketing Insights with your IBMid. The welcome message invites you to collaborate with IBM to complete the startup process.
  • Select and import customer data. IBM will work with you to identify the best types of customer data to import and support you throughout the import process.
  • Take your first steps by working with insights. After the data import is complete, you can start to use various insights to identify different target audiences. Use the insights with other applications like IBM Watson Campaign Automation to reach the customers that the insights find.
