Specifying Alert Recipients

To specify users to receive e-mail alerts about rule violations
Procedure

In the
Alerts
portlet of the Add/Edit/Copy Rule page, click
Add
Alert.
Important: To activate the Add Alert button you must add one or more users with a valid email address in My webMethods. For more information, see Adding Users in Working with IBM My webMethods.A new role is added to the Alerts table.
- Use the Name drop-down list to select the user to receive an alert when the rule goes out of compliance.
- If you want to start sending alerts to the user as soon as a rule violation occurs, select the Enabled check box. If you do not want to start sending alerts to the user at this time, clear the check box.
- If you want to send additional alerts to other users, or send an alert to the same user using a different method, repeat the previous steps.

If you want each user to see the other users who receive the
email alert, select
Group Users.
Note: When you select Group Users, the individual Enabled settings are disabled.All users who receive the email alert are listed on the To: row of the email.
