Import Flow services
IBM webMethods Integration allows you to import flow services from a compressed file that was earlier exported from IBM webMethods Integration. You can export flow services from one tenant and import those flow services to another tenant. You can import flow services provided you have the required capability.
Note: If you want to import a flow service that has an on-premises connector, before importing the
flow service, ensure that you upload the same on-premises connector to IBM webMethods Integration,
else you will not be able to import the flow service.
How It Works
- From the IBM webMethods Integration navigation bar, click Projects.
- Select a project and then click Flow services. The Flow services page appears.
- Click Import and select the compressed file that contains the exported
flow service. While importing a flow service, if a dependent flow service conflicts with an existing
flow service in the same project, you can:
- Rename the dependent flow service that you are importing. This creates a new flow service within the same project.
- Reuse the existing flow service by clearing the check boxes and clicking Submit.
- If you want to overwrite the existing flow service, click Submit.
Points to Consider when Importing Flow Services
- If you are importing a flow service that uses a Messaging connector, you need to create the Accounts and destinations, and then configure them in the imported flow service.
- If the flow service you are importing use SOAP or REST connectors and if those connectors do not exist in your system, continue importing the flow service. The connectors are imported along with the flow service. After importing, create the Accounts and then configure them in the imported flow service.
- If a flow service you are importing uses an on-premises connector and if the connector does not exist in your system, the Account appears only after you have uploaded the on-premises connector.
- If an Account is used in multiple steps in a flow service, after importing the flow service in a
different project, the Account name appears in the relevant steps. In the flow service step , the
account appears as configured, but is not available in the project.
In such cases, create the Account with the same
name. The Account is automatically configured in the relevant steps. If you create the Account
with a different name, you must configure the Account manually at each step. If an Account
with the same name exists in the project, then the Account will be automatically linked in the
relevant steps.
