Adding and configuring Gmail - Send an Email action

The task shows how to add and configure Gmail - Send an Email action.

Procedure

  1. Add the Gmail connector to the canvas and connect it to the previous action.
  2. Double-click the Gmail connector icon and select the Send an Email action from the Select Action list.
  3. Select the Gmail account that you want to use to run the action.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Provide details in the action configuration form.
    • To- Enter the email ID of the recipient that you want to send the shortened URL to. You can also add multiple email IDs by using a comma separator or a new line separator.
    • Subject- Enter a suitable subject for the email.
    • Body- Add the output key. For example, {{$a7.url}}, available under shorten URL output on the left-side of the configuration window as an input for this field.
  6. Click Next and Test the action.
  7. Click Done. It takes you back to the canvas.
  8. Connect the Gmail connector icon with the Stop icon, and Save the workflow.

Results

When you run the workflow, it shortens a long URL and sends it to the specified email address.
