Managing notifications
You can manage your notification preferences and subscribe or unsubscribe to notifications from the Notification Settings dialog. Reviewing these notifications keeps you informed about runtime changes or problems. The notifications that you see are based on your subscriptions.
Procedure
- Click the bell icon on the title bar. The notifications center is displayed listing all notifications.
- Subscribe or unsubscribe notifications.
- Click the Settings icon in the notifications
center. The Notification Settings dialog is displayed listing all the available topics and sources.
- Slide the toggle to the right to enable notifications, or to the left to disable them
for a specific topic or source. Repeat this step for all topics or sources that you want to receive
notifications. You must have administrator privileges to subscribe to the Role created, Role updated, and Role deleted notifications.Note: The Unsubscribe all option is displayed only when all notifications are subscribed.
- Click Save. The settings are saved and you start receiving notifications for the subscribed topics or sources.
- Optional: In the notifications center, click the overflow menu on the corresponding notification row, and select the Not interested in this topic or Not interested in this source options to stop receiving notifications for that specific topic or source.
- Click the Settings icon in the notifications
center.
- Pin or unpin specific notifications that require attention. Pinning notifications helps
in managing and prioritizing your notifications effectively. The critical information remains
visible and easily accessible amid the potentially large volume of incoming notifications.
- Click the Pin icon for the notification you want to pin. The notification is moved to the Important section.
- Click the Unpin icon for the notification you want to unpin. The notification is moved to the Inbox section.
- Remove a specific notification that is no longer needed.
- In the notifications center, click the overflow menu on the corresponding notification row, and select the Dismiss option to remove a notification.
- To dismiss all notifications, click the overflow menu on the Inbox category row and select Dismiss all .
- View or restore dismissed notifications.
- To view dismissed notifications, click the overflow menu on the Inbox category row and select Show Dismissed.
- To restore dismissed notifications, go to the Dismissed notifications section and click Restore dismissed on the notification that must be restored. The notification is restored to the Inbox.
- To restore all dismissed notifications, click the overflow menu on the Dismissed category row and select the Restore all dismissed option.
- Delete dismissed notifications
- In the Dismissed notifications section, click the overflow menu on the notification that must be deleted and select the Remove permanently option. The notification is deleted forever.
- To remove all dismissed notifications, click the overflow menu on the Dismissed category row and select the Remove all permanently option.
- Group similar notifications to facilitate easy identification and prioritization of
important notifications. Grouping notifications also prevents the notifications page from becoming
overwhelming, especially in cases where numerous alerts are generated within a short period. You can
customize the grouping options by topic, source, or severity.
- Click the Settings icon in the notifications
center. The Notification Settings dialog is displayed listing all the available topics and sources.
- Go to Display settings and select an option from the Group notifications by drop-down menu.
- Click Save. The settings are saved, and all notifications in your Inbox are grouped based on your selection. For example, if you have selected a topic, then all notifications in the Inbox are grouped according to topic.
