Using the Times loop
You can run a certain action a specified number of times using the Times loop. This option is ideal when the workflow does not require input from previous actions within the loop.
About this task
To use this loop, select Times in the Select Loop Type field and specify the number of times you want the loop to be run in the Number of Times field.
For example, if you want to create five identical notes in Evernote with the same content, instead of performing the action five times, you can use the Times loop.
Procedure
- Add the Loop action to the canvas and double-click it.
- Add the Evernote connector and connect it to the flow. Double-click the Evernote
connector icon, choose the Create Note action, and select the Evernote
account you want to use. Click Next to continue. In the configuration form that opens, enter the required details to complete the action setup. The Test action window opens where you can optionally test the action to check whether you have configured it properly, or return to the loop canvas.
- Hover over the Loop action icon, click Settings, select Loop Type as Times, and enter the number of iterations (for example, 5).
- Click Next to test the loop action, then return to the loop canvas and click the Close Loop Canvas icon to go back to the workflow canvas.
- Save the workflow and click Test to start the workflow run.
The setup creates five identical notes in Evernote, running the action five times.
