Loading field definitions using XML or JSON

Import field configurations directly from XML or JSON files to streamline setup and help ensure consistency across environments.

About this task

Instructions to load field definitions using XML or JSON in the Input Fields tab; follow the same steps in the Output Fields tab to define output fields.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Define input and output fields page.
  2. In the Input Fields fields, click Add a new set.
  3. Choose one of the following options to define the input content.
    • Load XML. Click Load XML in the Data Fields section. The Type or paste XML content text box appears.
    • Load JSON . Click Load JSON in the Data Fields section. The Type or paste JSON content text box appears.
  4. Enter the required details manually, or paste content from an XML or JSON file
  5. Based on the format you used, select either Load XML or Load JSON to proceed.

    The input fields are defined.
