About this task

The timestamps that appear on webMethods B2B correspond to the time zone from where you are accessing the instance. If you do not configure a time zone, then webMethods B2B corresponds to the browser's time zone.

A transaction group collates all the transactions that are originating from a single inbound document that is received from a trading partner. Depending on the document type and channel configuration, the number of transactions you see that in a group might differ from one trading partner to another. For example, if you disable the request MDN option for a trading partner that uses an AS2 OUT channel, you see fewer transactions under the group.

Note: The externally archived transactions are available only in the list view. The group view is not available for externally archived transactions.

Procedure

  1. In webMethods B2B , from the side navigation menu, click Monitoring > Transactions.
  2. Use the following options to view the required transactions:
    Live view
Displays all the current transactions in webMethods B2B .
    Archive view
Displays all the archived transaction data. The transaction history for 30 days is available on the Live transactions list. After 30 days, the transactions are archived, and these transactions appear in the Archive view. If you do not find your transactions, examine the purge schedule to see whether those transactions were deleted.
    Filter
Filter the transactions based on required criteria.
Note: When you subscribe for the External archival feature, you cannot customize dates beyond 90 days.

Click the Configure icon to include all other document attributes as filters to refine your search result.

If you change the filters after you selected one or more transactions, and reapply another set of filters, the refreshed table does not retain the selected transactions.

You can use the Equals criteria to search for multiple values of an attribute of type string, by separating using commas. For example, if you are searching for three documents using the documentID, then in the Equals criteria, you must type documentID1, documentID2, documentID3.

You can bookmark or save a set of search filters to rerun them at a later point. For more information, see Saving transaction filters.

    Set date range
Select a date range to filter your transactions.
    Search
Search for a particular transaction with a keyword related to the required transaction. For more information, see Searching for specific transactions using filters.
    Download
Filter to view a specific set of transactions and download them in the CSV format as a compressed file. You cannot exclude the default columns when you download the file, and the default column headers appear before the customized columns. If you use Microsoft™ Excel to open the CSV file to view the downloaded transactions, the leading zeros are trimmed for the Document ID column.
Note: You can download a maximum of 20,000 live transaction records or up to 50,000 archived transaction records at once. If the search criteria results in a larger number, the download fails. In such a case, modify the search criteria to adhere to the maximum limit.
    More actions
Reprocess and resubmit a document that is associated with the transaction:
    • Reprocess sends a document back through the processing rules. For example, if an incorrect rule processes a document, submit the document for reprocessing. Click the Refresh icon to see a new entry in the Course of transaction section that is pertaining to this activity. You can select a maximum of 100 transactions to reprocess them all at once. For more information, see Reprocessing a business document.
    • Resubmit sends a document back to webMethods B2B as a new document. For example, resubmit a document if the root tag of an EDI document does not match any business document. Rectify the root tag issue and resubmit the document.

A new transaction entry for the resubmitted documents appears on the Transactions page after you resubmit a document. An entry also appears in the Course of transaction from the document that you resubmitted.

    Personalizing columns
Personalize the Transactions page by selecting the columns of your choice. You cannot remove or replace the Date received column. You can select a maximum of 10 columns. Click the Restore default icon to change the column header according to the default configuration.
    Show matches
Show matches is enabled only in the Group view. Select this option to display only those transactions that match the search or filter criteria in the group view. For example, if you are in the In error tab, and search for a specific partner by enabling this option, the search result displays only error transactions that are associated with that partner within each group.
Note: The Show matches is not available for externally archived transactions.
  3. Click the timestamp of the transaction to view the transaction details.
On the transaction details panel, you can see the summary of the transaction along with the Course of transaction. Also, you can see the attributes that are associated with the document, processing status, and the tasks that are created internally to track the completion of activities.
