Defining an XML document without reference

You can define an XML document without referencing a webMethods Integration document type, allowing for faster configuration, improved performance, and reduced dependency on webMethods Integration.

Procedure

  1. In webMethods B2B from the side navigation menu, click Assets > Business documents.
  2. Click the Add document icon and select XML.
  3. Provide the name and description for the document.
  4. Select No reference.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Upload an XML file to build the schema for the document or edit the Identifiers, Attributes, Namespaces, and Options.
    The uploaded XML document is not stored in the webMethods B2B system. It is temporarily rendered during the upload process. Use this document solely to define the Identifiers, Attributes, Namespaces, and Options.

Results

The XML document is created, and the document details page displays the details.

What to do next

  • To update the XML document, click edit icon on the document details page. You can update the name, description, and change the reference to the IBM webMethods Integration document type.
  • Activate and test the XML document.
