Deleting a global policy

Delete a global policy to remove it from webMethods API Gateway permanently.

Before you begin

You must have Manage global policies functional privilege to perform this task.

To delete a global policy, the following conditions must be satisfied:

  • The policy must not be in-progress.
  • The policy must be inactive.

Procedure

  1. Open the menu options and select Manage > Policies.
  2. Click the Global Policies tab.

    A list of all available global policies appears. Use the Show list to set the maximum number of policies you want to display in a page.

  3. Click Delete for the required policy.
    If you do not see the Delete button, it is probably because you do not have the webMethods API Gateway administrator role to delete a global policy, or the policy is in an active state in API Gateway.
  4. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
