Deleting a Global Policy

You must have the webMethods API Gateway's manage global policies functional privilege assigned.

You delete a global policy to remove it from webMethods API Gateway permanently.

To delete a global policy, the following conditions must be satisfied:
  • The policy must not be in-progress.
  • The policy must be inactive.

To delete a global policy

  1. Click Policies in the title navigation bar.
  2. Click the Global Policies tab.
    A list of all available global policies appears. Use the Show drop-down list at the bottom of the page to set the maximum number of policies you want to display in a page.
  3. Click the Delete (delete) icon for the required policy.
    If you do not see the Delete button, it is probably because you do not have the webMethods API Gateway Administrator role to delete a global policy, or the policy is in an Active state in webMethods API Gateway.
  4. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
