Change Ownership of Assets
Assets such as APIs and applications in webMethods API Gateway have an option where the ownership of the asset can be changed. Applications have confidential data like API key and client certificates which only the owner can view. Therefore, if the owner of an asset has to take up a different responsibility or leave the organization, no other user can view the secrets of the asset. The edit option available on the asset details page, enables the transfer of ownership of the asset to another user, so that the new owner of the asset can access or view the confidential data of the asset. webMethods API Gateway provides an option to configure an approval process for the assets' ownership change. Approval and auditing contribute to the governance of change ownership.
