API Control Plane Agent Configuration

The API Control Plane agent configuration has two parts:

  • Runtime configuration specifies the metadata of runtime that you want to administer from API Control Plane
  • API Control Plane configuration specifies API Control Plane details to which the runtime establishes the connectivity

Configure the API Control Plane agent in one of the following ways:

  • Using environment variables
  • Using YAML configuration
  • Using API Gateway UI
Note: Software AG recommends that you have a dedicated user for agent connectivity. It is important that you do not modify the password for that user as doing so interrupts the connection with API Control Plane. If you change the password, ensure to update it in the configurations file according to your deployment model to restore connectivity with API Control Plane.
