To connect to product, fix, or asset repositories, or to product installations from Command Central, you should supply the appropriate credentials. In Command Central, you store the required credentials as credentials aliases and you specify the correct credentials alias when required. For example, before you can connect to the IBM webMethods product and fix repositories in the IBM Passport Advantage Online , you should first create a credentials alias.

To create credentials aliases in Command Central:

Procedure

  1. Go to Environments > ALL > Instances > CCE > Command Central Server > Configuration > Credentials and click the plus icon.
  2. Select the type of credentials alias to create, enter the required information, and click Save. The following table describes the steps to follow to create aliases for credentials to use to connect to repositories:

    Product and fix repositories

    Click Username and password and create an alias for your user name and password or token.

    If you want additional users to be able to connect to the product and fix repositories, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Products & Documentation > Download Products > Software Downloads.
    2. Click the link for the region or regions to which the additional users will need to connect.
    3. In the email that displays, list the users by their company email addresses. Еach of those users receives an email containing credentials with the necessary privileges.
    4. Get the credentials from each of these users, click Username and password, and create an alias for each user name and password.
    Mirror repositories that were created on other Command Centrals and that are hosted on remote Platform Managers Click Username and password and create an alias for the user name and password that can access the remote Platform Manager.
    Git asset repositories Click Username and password and create an alias for a Git user name and password (HTTP/S repository URL), or click SSH private key and create and alias for SSH credentials for accessing Git (SSH repository URL).
