Connecting to Passport Advantage Online

About this task

You can use Update Manager in two different modes:

Оffline mode: In this mode, Update Manager does not connect to Passport Advantage Online. Choose this mode when you do not have internet connection or access to Passport Advantage Online. You can also choose to use offline mode when you want to skip waiting for any online connection checks or Update Manager components updates.
Online mode: In this mode, Update Manager connects to Passport Advantage Online, which means you must have an internet connection (direct or through proxy settings) and valid Passport Advantage Online user credentials.

To connect to Passport Advantage Online:

Start the Update Manager application (command line or graphic interface).
Go to Connectivity.
Specify Username and Password for Passport Advantage Online.
Update Manager is set to online mode.

You can also configure a proxy for your connection to Passport Advantage Online.
