Creating alerts based on maximum
Use this procedure to create an alert notification if the numeric event value collected exceeds this defined maximum during the alert interval based on the threshold value using the threshold operator.
Procedure
- Select Alert manager.
- Click + New alert.
- Enter the Alert name.
- Add Tags.
- Select the Application where you want to collect alert data.
- Select Maximum as the Alert type.
- Select an Event.
- If you want to add a dimension, click Add dimension. Then, select the Dimension name and Dimension value.
- Select the Threshold operator and enter a Value.
- Select or enter the Alert interval. The interval time value can be between 1 and 1440 minutes.
- Select or enter the Alert reset time. The reset time value can be between 1 and 1440 minutes.
- Click Continue. Recipient info displays.
- Review the Email address, Subject, and Alert message. The default email address is the email address of the person who is creating the alert. If you want to share this alert with others, add their email address.
- Click Continue. Blackout info displays.
- If you want to set a blackout period for the alert, select ON for Blackout period.
- Enter the time range for the blackout period.
- If you want to add another blackout period, click the add another blackout link.
- Click Create. The alert displays in the Alert manager.
