Microsoft Exchange connection
Microsoft Exchange is a cloud-based service that manages your emails, contacts, and calendars.
Prerequisite
Before you can connect to Microsoft Exchange connection, you need to enable the AppConnect connection. This will enable the connection to appear in the list of available connectors for you to use.
Create a connection to Microsoft Exchange
To create the connection asset, you need these connection details:
- Application type - options are basic or online
Credentials
- Authentication type:
BASIC_OAUTH - Access token
- Refresh token
- CLient ID - unique identifier registered in Microsoft Entra ID
- Client secret - secret key generated in Microsoft Entra ID for the Client ID
- Proxy host (optional) - hostname of the proxy
- Proxy port (optional) - port on which the proxy is hosted
- Proxy username (optional) - username for authenticating proxy calls
- Proxy password (optional) - password for authenticating proxy calls
- Tenant ID (optional) - Microsoft Entra Tenant ID
Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliance
This connection cannot be created in a FIPS environment.
