Installing watsonx Assistant for Z
To install watsonx Assistant for Z, you must install:
- watsonx Orchestrate either by using the x86 or AMD64 architecture or the s390x architecture
- Create a service instance for watsonx Orchestrate
- Install the watsonx Assistant for Z operatorNote: When the
z_assistantparameter is enabled, you see 58 deployed and verified components in the output generated byoc get wo wo.
watsonx Orchestrate on x86 or AMD64
If you are using the x86 or AMD64 architecture, follow the instructions provided in Installing watsonx Orchestrate.
watsonx Orchestrate on s390x
If you are using the s390x architecture, perform the steps provided in the following
table.

Note: For s390x, you must configure an external IFM. However, for 86, it's an optional
configuration. See Configuring an external IFM.
