IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z z/OS Host Component

Perform the customizing, registration, and installation instructions to install and configure z/OS® Debugger.

You must install the IBM® z/OS Debugger on a z/OS system before using Z Validation Assistant. If it is not installed, there are several IBM products that provide entitlement to the z/OS Debugger. If you have already purchased one or more of these products, then you are entitled to install the z/OS Debugger.

The products that provide entitlement and their required level of fixes are as follows:
  • IBM Debug for z/OS 16.0.3, PTF UI95612
  • IBM Developer for z/OS Enterprise Edition (IDzEE) 16.0.3, PTF UI95612
  • IBM Application Delivery Foundation for z/OS (ADFz) 4.0.3, PTF UI95612

If you do not currently have the z/OS Debugger that is installed as part of one of the IBM products that provides entitlement to the z/OS Debugger, then you must install the IBM watsonx Code Assistant™ for Z z/OS Host component.

Note: IBM z/OS Debugger can run in the virtualized z/OS environments, such as ZD&T, Wazi-as-Service, ZVDT, and Test Accelerator for Z On Demand Environments.
