Prerequisites
Before you run the IBM® watsonx Code Assistant™™ for Z Understand (Z Understand) Web UI, you must make sure that the prerequisites are met.
Note: The web UI is hosted from the Z Refactoring Assistant component.
You must deploy the Refactor component and configure it to connect to the Linux® Understand Container. Both components can be deployed on
the same server.
- Make sure the following prerequisites for Z Understand
Linux container are met:
- Make sure that all the prerequisites are met before you run IBM watsonx Code Assistant™ for Z Understand on Linux. For more information, see Prerequisites.
- Make sure that all the prerequisites are met before you install Z Refactoring Assistant. For more information, see Prerequisites.
- Installing the IBM watsonx Code Assistant™ for Z Understand container on Linux. For more information, see Installing.
- Configuring the IBM watsonx Code Assistant™ for Z Understand container on Linux. For more information, see Configuring.
- Creating the Z Understand project with business rule discovery statistics enabled. For more information, see Managing application projects.
- Building the Z Understand project. For more information, see Managing application projects.
- Configuring the semantic indexer in Z Understand
admin dashboard, perform the following:
- To configure semantic indexer, see Configuring.
- To run semantic indexer, see Managing analysis projects.
- Make sure that you Install and configure the Z Refactoring Assistant component for watsonx Code Assistant for Z web UI. For more information, see Installing and setting up.
- Z Understand Web UI requires the Milvus database server to be installed and configured. Before installing a Milvus instance, check the hardware and software to see if they meet the requirements. For more information, see Requirements for Installing Milvus with Docker Compose.
- Launch the Milvus instance in Docker by using Docker Compose. For more information, see Run Milvus with Docker Compose (Linux).
