User response

Manually check the status of the IBM AD Configuration Service and start it if it is not in an Online or Running state.

  1. Access Start Menu > IBM Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence > Launch IBM Application Discovery Configuration Service Admin. Then, go to the Dashboard tab to check the status of the IBM AD Configuration Service.

  2. Find the Configuration Service in the list and attempt to start it by clicking the three dots icon next to the service to open the Actions drop-down menu.
  3. By clicking the Start service option from the drop-down menu the service should start.
Alternative steps for starting service components:
  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del and choose Task Manager to open the Task Manager window.
  2. Select the Services tab.
  3. Find each component by name starting with IBM Application Discovery that has a different status than Running, right-click the service component and select Start to start the service. Make sure that the Status for the service changes to Running.

If the IBM AD Configuration Service is still not showing as Running after the preceding actions, consult the server.log file under the <IBM ADDI Installation Folder>\IBM Application Discovery Configuration Service\log directory.
