Building skills and skill flows
As a builder you can use the Skill studio to build skills and skill flows on watsonx Orchestrate.
To open the Skill studio, click menu and then select Skill studio. The Skill studio page has two tabs Skills and apps and Projects.
On the Skills and apps page is where the resources to build skills and skill flows are available.
-
Use the apps available in Skill studio to build skills for them.

-
Building skills from OpenAPI files
Build skills by importing OpenAPI specification files.

-
Building OpenAPI specifications for skills
Build, edit, or generate OpenAPI specifications by using the OpenAPI builder. With the OpenAPI builder, you can use the Artificial Intelligence (AI) function to simplify the generation process. After you create or edit an OpenAPI specification, you can download the specification and import it to build skills.

-
Enhancing and publishing skills
After building skills, you must enhance and publish them to make them available in the skills catalog.

-
Combining skills into skill flows
Create skills by combining skills that you built or prebuilt skills, sequencing them into meaningful flows.

-
Exporting skills and skill flows
Export the OpenAPI specification file of existing skills that you built or that are prebuilt in watsonx Orchestrate.

-
Configuring prebuilt app endpoints and skills schemas
Configure prebuilt apps and skill endpoints to use your private servers for connections.
-
Skill design content guidelines
Use the skill design content guidelines to create meaningful text for skill names, descriptions, fields, and other properties.
