Microsoft To Do

Microsoft To Do is a task management application that helps you manage daily tasks and remain organized. To-do tasks are grouped in task lists, which can be viewed from any device by using To-Do clients, Microsoft Outlook, and Teams. This document describes how to connect IBM watsonx Orchestrate to Microsoft To Do and use its skills on watsonx Orchestrate.

General considerations

Before you connect watsonx Orchestrate to Microsoft To Do, make sure that you have a work or school account at Microsoft.

Note:
  • Some app connections require you to allow pop-up windows and redirects in your browser for validation. If you're having trouble connecting to an app, check the address bar to see whether you must turn off the pop-up window and redirect blocking.
  • You can't connect to a personal account. Use a work or school account instead.
  • If your Microsoft admin has blocked apps from accessing data in your organization, you need to work with your admin to allow watsonx Orchestrate to connect to Microsoft To Do. If admin approval has not been given, when you try connecting, you see a "Need admin approval" dialog.

Connecting to Microsoft To Do

Connect to the app according to the credential type that you or your team want to use.

If you want to connect the app to the Orchestrate Agent skill set, skill sets from AI assistants, or the Team skill set with Team credentials, refer to Managing app connections.

If you want to connect to the app to the Personal skill set ot the Team skill set with Member credentials, refer to Connecting to apps.

Configuring the connection on watsonx Orchestrate SaaS

To connect watsonx Orchestrate to Microsoft To Do, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Connect app. It redirects you to sign in to a Microsoft account and authorize the connection.
  2. Set your Microsoft To Do account email and click Next.
  3. Set your Microsoft To Do account password and click Sign in.
Notes: The icon A green check icon appears to show that the app is connected. indicates that the connection was successfully established.

Configuring the connection on watsonx Orchestrate on-premises

To connect watsonx Orchestrate to Microsoft To Do, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Connect app.
  2. In the Server URL, enter the API server URL that makes the runtime calls. By default, the API server URL is https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0.
  3. In the Application client ID, enter the unique identifier generated after the Microsoft Azure app registration gets mapped to the specific project requests.
  4. In the Application client secret, enter the application client secret for a project-specific unique application client ID.
  5. In the Access token, enter the access token generated from the application client ID and client secret.
  6. In the Refresh token, enter the refresh token generated from the application client ID and client secret.
  7. Optional: In the API URL, enter the API server URL if you want to override the default URL set at the Server URL field.
