Calendly

The Calendly is a scheduling platform which enables you to monitor or retrieve events, invitees, event types, and memberships in your Calendly account. This document describes how to connect IBM watsonx Orchestrate to Calendly and use its skills on watsonx Orchestrate.

Before you begin

Before you connect watsonx Orchestrate to Calendly, make sure that you have a Calendly account. If you don't have a Calendly account, you can create one at Sign up with Calendly for free.

Connecting to Calendly

Connect to the app according to the credential type that you or your team want to use.

If you want to connect the app to the Orchestrate Agent skill set, skill sets from AI assistants, or the Team skill set with Team credentials, refer to Managing app connections.

If you want to connect to the app to the Personal skill set ot the Team skill set with Member credentials, refer to Connecting to apps.

Configuring the connection on watsonx Orchestrate SaaS

You can connect to Calendly by using Calendly credentials or Gmail credentials.

Note: If you already have an active Calendly connection in your browser, that connection is used for the authentication. To connect to a different Calendly, log out of watsonx Orchestrate first.

Connect with Calendly credentials

To connect watsonx Orchestrate to Calendly, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Connect app. You are redirected to the Calendly login page.

  2. Specify the Email address and Password.

    • Email address: The email address used to log in to Calendly.
    • Password: The password for the specified email address.

  3. Click Allow to grant permission to access your Calendly account.

    You are now successfully connected to the Calendly app.

Connect with Gmail credentials

Following are the steps to connect watsonx Orchestrate to Calendly with Gmail credentials:

  1. Click Connect app. You are redirected to the Calendly login page.

  2. Choose Continue with Google to provide the connection details.

  3. Specify the following connection details:

    • Email address: The email address to log in to Calendly.
    • Password: The password for the specified email address.

  4. Click Allow to grant permission to access your Calendly account.

    You are now successfully connected to the Calendly app.

Configuring the connection on watsonx Orchestrate on-premises

To connect watsonx Orchestrate to Calendly, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Connect app.

  2. Specify the following connection details:

    • Client ID: The consumer key generated when you create a connected application in Calendly.
    • Client secret: The consumer secret generated when you create a connected application in Calendly.
    • Access token: The access token generated from the application client ID and client secret.
    • Refresh token: The refresh token generated from the application client ID and client secret.

  3. Click Connect app.

Note: The icon A green check icon appears to show that the app is connected. indicates that the connection was successfully established.

Technical parameters

The following table contains the technical parameters required by some skills of this app and instructions to retrieve them.

Parameters Details
User URI The unique identifier for the user. For example, in the URL https://api.calendly.com/users/{uuid}, the uuid is the User URI.
Event type URI The unique identifier for the event types. For example, in the URL https://api.calendly.com/event_types/{uuid}, the uuid is the Event type URI.
