Understanding the description attribute for AI agent

The Description field plays a key role in orchestrating tasks by defining the agent’s purpose and capabilities. To ensure that the agent can accurately perform tasks within the orchestration, it is essential to provide a clear and specific description.

To set the Description field correctly, do the following actions:

  • Define the agent's core functions and its domain of expertise.
  • Clarify the boundaries of the agent’s tasks to prevent overlap with other agents.
  • Outline the specific skills or functions the agent can perform, providing a high-level view of its capabilities.
  • Identify any limitations or constraints that may affect the agent’s actions, helping manage expectations during interactions.

A well-defined Description ensures that the agent operates within its intended scope and collaborates effectively with other agents in the system.
