Managing your account

You can easily switch between different accounts and tenants in IBM watsonx Orchestrate. This is especially helpful when you work across multiple teams, departments, or client environments and need quick access to each workspace.

Switching between accounts or tenants

If your account has access to more than one tenant in watsonx Orchestrate, you can switch between them without needing separate accounts. You can move between environments depending on where you need to work.

You can switch tenants by using the following methods:

Method 1: Log out and log in

This method is helpful when you want to start a fresh session, or when your current session is tied to a different tenant.

To switch tenants by logging out:

  1. Click the profile icon.

  2. Select Log out.

  3. Log in to watsonx Orchestrate.

  4. Select the tenant that you want to access.

Important:

When you log out and log in again to watsonx Orchestrate, your email address is pre-filled and you are not prompted to enter the password. This is expected behavior related to Single Sign-On (SSO) systems. Logging out of watsonx Orchestrate does not log you out of IBMid.

Method 2: Use the help menu

Use the following method when you want to switch tenants without signing out completely. This method provides a quick redirect to your accounts list.

To switch tenants using the help menu:

  1. Close all other browser tabs or windows where watsonx Orchestrate is open. This feature works best when only one instance is active.

  2. On the watsonx Orchestrate UI, click the help icon (?).

  3. Select Switch account.

  4. You are redirected to the accounts landing page: https://dl.watson-orchestrate.ibm.com/landing/accounts

  5. Choose the tenant that you want to switch to.
