Deprecations
As IBM watsonx Orchestrate continues to evolve, it deprecates or withdraws certain functions and foundation models to stay aligned with the latest advancements in performance, security, and architectural best practices. By deprecating older or less efficient capabilities, the platform phases them out and introduces more reliable, scalable, and feature‑rich alternatives that better support your automation needs.
Deprecated and withdrawn tags
Deprecated
A Deprecated tag indicates that a function or foundation model is still supported but is planned for removal in a future release. You can continue using it, but you might receive in‑product notifications indicating that the model or function will be removed soon. You should begin planning a transition to a recommended replacement.
Withdrawn
A Withdrawn tag indicates that support for the function or foundation model has ended. Withdrawn items no longer work from the withdrawal date onward. When a foundation model is withdrawn, IBM watsonx Orchestrate automatically moves you to the most recent version within the same model family, ensuring continuity.
