Regional availability and outbound IP addresses

IBM watsonx Orchestrate is a platform that automates tasks and simplifies complex processes to enhance productivity. The platform operates as a multi-tenant, cloud native solution deployed as a managed software as a service (SaaS) and on-premises.

Regional availability of IBM watsonx Orchestrate

IBM watsonx Orchestrate SaaS provides service availability in the following regions according to its deployment:

In AWS:

  • Frankfurt (eu-central-1)
  • Mumbai (ap-south-1)
  • Northern Virginia (us-east-1)
  • Singapore (ap-southeast-1)

In IBM Cloud:

  • Dallas (us-south)
  • Frankfurt (eu-de)
  • London (eu-gb)
  • Sydney (au-syd)
  • Tokyo (jp-tok)
  • Toronto (ca-tor)

Attention: With the introduction of the new agentic experience, prebuilt skills are no longer provisioned by default for existing tenants in the following data centers: London, Toronto, Tokyo and Sydney (IBM Cloud), and Singapore (AWS). If your tenant is in one of these regions and was created before this change, prebuilt skills can be made available upon request. To request specific prebuilt skills, raise a support ticket.

Outbound IP addresses

Use the provided IP addresses for outbound connectivity with IBM watsonx Orchestrate as a Service. To ensure that your environment can connect to applications that are behind a firewall and receive data from watsonx Orchestrate, add the appropriate IP addresses to an allowlist on your network.

Transmission of data that comes from watsonx Orchestrate can be operations such as calling skills or AI assistants. To allow the transmission of data to your company network, you need to allowlist the following endpoints according to the watsonx Orchestrate deployment and the region where your environment is hosted:

Attention:The IP addresses are subject to change. IBM sends notifications before changes take place for you to plan ahead. The lists that are provided in the topic are up to date at the time of writing. If you face disruption in your environment because of a change, contact IBM Support.

Requesting outbound access involves:

  • Opening a Support case when the IBM watsonx Orchestrate tenant is on AWS.
  • Opening an IBM Cloud ticket when the IBM watsonx Orchestrate tenant is on IBM Cloud.
