Oracle E-Business Suite

Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) is a complete set of business applications for managing and automating customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning, order management, and financial module processes within your organization. This document describes how to connect IBM watsonx Orchestrate to Oracle E-Business Suite and use its skills on watsonx Orchestrate.

Note: The builders can use these skills to create an end-to-end skill flow for the users.

Connecting to Oracle E-Business Suite

Connect to the app according to the credential type that you or your team want to use.

If you want to connect the app to the Orchestrate Agent skill set, skill sets from AI assistants, or the Team skill set with Team credentials, refer to Managing app connections.

If you want to connect to the app to the Personal skill set or the Team skill set with Member credentials, refer to Connecting to apps.

Configuring the connection

To connect watsonx Orchestrate to Oracle E-Business Suite, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Connect app.
  2. You are prompted to enter the following connection details:
    • Oracle E-Business Suite SOA service URL:Specify the fully qualified URL of your Oracle E-Business Suite SOA service. For example, specify the hostname or IP address and the port number of the server in the format <http or https>://<hostname>.<domain_name>:<port>. Contact your Oracle E-Business Suite admin to know more about your SOA URL.
    • Username: Specify the username of your Oracle E-Business Suite account.
    • Password: Set the password for the specified username.
    • Instance name: The SOAP URL contains the instance name, which is a unique name assigned to your Oracle E-Business Suite instance. Suppose the SOAP URL is <http or https>://<hostname>.<domain_name>:<port>/soa-infra/services/default/<PROD>_PLSQL_FND_WEB_SEC/FND_WEB_SEC_Service, then PROD is your instance name. Contact your Oracle E-Business Suite admin to know more about your instance name.
  3. Click Connect.
Note: The icon A green check icon appears to show that the app is connected. indicates that the connection was successfully established.
