Apps

Apps on IBM watsonx Orchestrate are third‑party applications such as Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Coupa, or Slack that you can connect to watsonx Orchestrate. Each app includes a set of supported agents and tools that help you automate tasks and workflows across your business systems.

When you connect an app, your agents and tools can retrieve data, trigger actions, and complete tasks securely.

Important:

To ensure agents and tools function reliably, connect your apps by using valid credentials and follow the required configuration steps. Incorrect setup prevents agents and tools from responding or performing as expected. See Connecting apps for prebuilt agents for more details.

Finding apps in the catalog

You can quickly explore available apps from the Discover page.

  1. From the main menu, select Discover.

  2. Use the Search bar to look for an app by name or domain.

  3. In the left panel, open the Apps filter to view apps that match your domain or task.

  4. Select an app to open its page and view connection details and supported capabilities.

When you select an app, the catalog displays the agents and tools that rely on that app so you can see exactly what automations it enables.

Apps are grouped by domain to help you quickly find what you need. Click any app name to view its connection requirements and supported capabilities.
