Generating an API key for AWS

Get the API key to authenticate you on watsonx Orchestrate API for the AWS offering.

Standard

This API key is used to fetch a JWT token that you can use to authenticate to watsonx Orchestrate on the AWS server. Other offerings, such as the IBM Cloud offering and the on-premises offering, use different authentication methods from the API key.

You get the API key in your watsonx Orchestrate settings page. Follow the procedure to generate an API key:

  1. Click your profile icon.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click API details.

  4. Click Generate API key.

  5. Click Copy to copy the API key to your clipboard. With it, the API key is generated and temporarily saved to your clipboard. Click Delete all API keys to delete your existing API keys.

Note:

You cannot retrieve the API key after you close the modal. Make sure that you save it in a safe location. You get a total of 10 API keys per user.
