Connecting to SAP SuccessFactors

SAP SuccessFactors is a human capital management (HCM) software solution designed to streamline HR functions and manage your workforce. You can use watsonx Orchestrate to automate the different HR operations offered by SAP SuccessFactors.

To use external applications with IBM watsonx Orchestrate, you must establish a connection that enables communication between them. See Managing connections for more details.

Connecting to SAP SuccessFactors using the watsonx Orchestrate user interface

To connect using Basic Auth:

  1. From the main menu, select Manage > Connections.
  2. Search for SAP SuccessFactors.
  3. Check the following connection ID: sap_successfactors_basic_ibm_184bdbd3
  4. Click the edit icon Edit icon.
  5. Choose the environment to create the connection: draft or live.
  6. In the Authentication type field, select Basic Auth.
  7. Enter the Server URL of the application.
  8. Click the Save button.

To connect using Key Value Pair:

  1. From the main menu, select Manage > Connections.

  2. Search for SAP SuccessFactors.

  3. Check the following connection ID: sap_successfactors_key_value_ibm_184bdbd3

  4. Click the edit icon Edit icon.

  5. Choose the environment to create the connection: draft or live.

  6. In the Authentication type field, select Key Value Pair.

  7. Add the following key and its respective value:

    • base_url

  8. Click the Save button.

Note: The icon A green check icon appears. indicates that the connection was successfully established.
