Switching the chat experience

Switch between the AI chat or legacy chat experiences to complete tasks with aid of large language models (LLMs) and run skills to accomplish more complex tasks.

Switching the chat experience makes the selected chat the default option of the tenant. Members cannot use the other chat, unless the administrator switches to it as default.

Important: The conversation that occurred in the AI chat is not carried over to the legacy chat after the administrator switches to it, and vice versa.

Procedure

Complete the following steps to switch between chat experiences:

  1. From the profile icon, click Settings.
  2. Click Chat version.
  3. Choose which version of the chat experience you want the members of the tenant to use. The page displays the current setting of the tenant:
    • If your team needs to use the AI chat, click Switch to AI chat > Change to AI chat.
    • If your team needs to use the legacy chat, click Switch to legacy chat > Change to legacy chat.

What to do next

You run skills in the AI chat through skill-based actions from AI assistants. To use skills in the legacy chat, you can add them to the team skill set or the users can add them directly to their personal skill set.
