Troubleshooting for Watson Studio

Cause

The job configuration includes environment variables that contain whitespace or other special characters that might result in these values being truncated or otherwise corrupted.

Resolving the problem

To avoid any corruption of environment variable values defined in your job configuration, make sure that the values you insert do not contain whitespace or other special characters.

Resolving the problem

If your project is on a different cluster where other services are installed, you will not be able to work with any assets if the necessary service is not available on your cluster.

For example, if the Git repository contains SPSS Modeler flows from another project on a different cluster and SPSS Modeler is not installed on your cluster, when you try to open a SPSS Modeler flow, the Web page will be blank.

Cause

Running !pip install -U ibm-watson-machine-learning returns this error message:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.xerial.snappy.Snappy

Resolving the problem

Use this command to install ibm-watson-machine-learning:

!pip install -U --no-dependencies --target {PATH}/python ibm-watson-machine-learning

Resolving the problem

Although you were added as collaborator to the project, you have not created your own personal access token to the Git repository associated with the project. To open RStudio with Git integration, you must select your own access token.

Resolving the problem

To enable RStudio to start, clear your browser cache or open RStudio in a browser with incognito mode enabled.

Resolving the problem

After launching the RStudio IDE, at the stage when you select the RStudio environment, select Reset the workspace. RStudio is started using the default settings with a clean RStudio workspace.
