This topic describes how IBM Watson® Explorer Foundational Components resources can be migrated to IBM Watson Explorer oneWEX.
The following resources can be migrated from Watson™ Explorer Foundational Components to Watson Explorer oneWEX.
- Knowledge base

- Rephrase
- Rephrase can be covered by enrichment with dictionaries in Watson Explorer oneWEX. By adding a keyword with a certain value, the search results and mining results are rephrased with the value. For more information, see Dictionary annotator.
- Stopphrase
- Stopphrase can be covered by Stop words in Watson Explorer oneWEX. For more information, see Stop words.
- Synonym dictionary
- In Watson Explorer oneWEX, there is the following option for synonym dictionaries.
- Query-processing-time synonyms can be added by uploading a synonyms list to the collection. For more information, see Synonym.
- Query modifier

The following resources do not need to be migrated from Watson Explorer Foundational Components to Watson Explorer oneWEX.
- Spelling dictionary
- Watson Explorer Foundational Components support spelling completion with a spelling dictionary. In Watson Explorer oneWEX, correct spellings based on a collection index are automatically suggested and an external spelling dictionary is not required.
- Stemming dictionary
- Watson Explorer Foundational Components can do stemming (lemmatization) with a stemming dictionary. Watson Explorer oneWEX can do it automatically since it contains syntax dictionaries. If you want to assign your domain-specific words to nouns, verbs, or adjectives, add dictionaries in the Dictionary annotator. For more information, see Dictionary annotator.
- Autocomplete dictionary
- Watson Explorer Foundational Components supports autocompletion with an autocomplete dictionary. In Watson Explorer oneWEX, autocompletions based on a collection index are automatically suggested and an external autocomplete dictionary is not required.
