Upgrading from Previous IBM Connections Connectors for Watson Explorer Engine

Newer versions of the connector are intended to fully replace previous connectors for Watson™ Explorer Engine. The index that is created by newer connectors typically includes more information than indices created by previous connectors, and will therefore not always be backwards compatible with those indices.

Note:

After installing an updated connector, it is highly recommended to re-crawl your repositories to create an index that will include all the features of the new connector. Some major version upgrades (first digit version increments) my require a full re-crawl.
