Administration: The Search Collection Overview Panel

The Overview panel contains a summary of all of the search engine actions that are currently available, and provides tabs that give access to more detailed information about your search collection and the state of any indexes that are associated with it. Depending upon the configuration of your search collection and whether or not you are currently creating an index, the tabs and overview information being displayed will change over time.

The next sections explain the concept of live, staging, and remote indices, the general actions that you can perform from the Overview panel, and the mechanism for using a working copy to safely edit the current configuration of a search collection.
