Changing the Search and Results Logos

About this task

One of the more common customizations made to Watson™ Explorer Engine displays is to replace the default Watson Explorer logo with a corporate or academic logo that reflects the identity of your web site.

To replace the default logo used in Watson Explorer Engine displays, you must specify the URL or filename of the new logo that you want to use, and you must also know the height and width of the image in pixels. (You can obtain height and width information by viewing the image itself in a browser such as Firefox, which will display the image size in the window title.)

Once you have this information

Procedure

  1. Click the name of the display as shown in Figure 1 to open the display editing screen.

As shown earlier in Figure 2 displays.

  2. If the Settings tab is not already displayed, select that tab, and make sure that the Theme > Simple pane is shown.
  3. Click edit so that you can make modifications to the display settings on this pane.

After files have been copied to this directory, you can simply refer to them by the name of the file.

  6. Click OK to save your changes.

After entering information about the logos that you want to use, A screen like the one shown in Figure 2 displays, which contains a preview of the images that you specified.
