This section includes information that will help diagnose issues in Watson™ Explorer.

Checking for the ability to create core dumps
When a process performs certain invalid operations (for example: writing to invalid pieces of memory), the process will be stopped by the operating system. Optionally, the operating system can write a copy of the process to disk. The process copy is the core dump. The core dump indicates what the process was doing when it performed the invalid operation. Watson Explorer Engine versions 11.0.0.1 and above includes a check for the ability of the system to create core dumps.
